The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and partners have established an international sports ministry internship in South Africa for 2012. This six week experience is designed to train a next generation of sports ministry leaders to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Life-changing Impact 2012 South Africa will equip and empower college students to do international sports ministry.

Interns will gain a global perspective of international sports ministry while developing character and leadership skills in this cross-cultural learning environment which combines classroom teaching with hands-on training.

Interns will stay in Stellenbosch, South Africa, hosted by local ministry, Sports For Christ Action South Africa (SCAS) for the entirety of internship. Training will incorporate classroom teaching, team and individual challenges and local ministry experiences. Interns will receive training from experienced sports missionaries and teachers. Topics to be covered include: Biblical Basis for Sports Ministry, Cultural Sensitivity, Evangelism, Sports Ministry Models and Teambuilding. Interns will also engage in practical local sports ministry, including outreaches and camps.

Internship Dates: May 24^th- July 4^th.

Criteria: This internship is for college students and recent graduates who have a desire to be trained in international sports ministry and a desire to be open to serving the Lord when they graduate. Prior FCA experience or other Sports Ministry experience is a plus.

Cost: The cost is $1800 plus airfare or about $3,650 (approx cost based on current airfares). Interns must commit to raising the full amount which will cover travel, housing and food.

3.       March 31, 2012 - All applications due.

4.       Applications will be processed as they are received based on availability of program.

5.       April 20 - 50% of money due

6.       April 30– Balance due of money due
